Race to Save the Harvest
The Race to Save the Harvest is an annual community event held at Minto-Brown Island Park in Salem, Oregon. The event features multiple short-distance running and walking options and supports Salem Harvest, an organization that gathers fresh produce that would otherwise go to waste and makes it available to local families.
Course details are provided for two formats: a 3K out and back course and a 5K loop course. Both routes are within Minto-Brown Island Park and use shaded, hard-surface paths. The start and finish lines are located at the south end of Parking Lot 3 near the covered picnic area.

There is no official race timing for this event. Packet pick up is available the day before at Gallagher Fitness Resources in Salem and the morning of the event at Minto-Brown Island Park near Parking Lot 3. Registrations open January 26 and close June 5. Standard registration fees for adult events are listed as $25 and fees for kids events are listed as $15. Registrations made before June 5 include event shirts; fees increase and shirts are not available for registrations on June 5 or later.
Additional event elements include raffle tickets for prizes, optional extra ticket purchases to increase chances of winning, yard games, bicycle-blended smoothies, snacks, community informational booths, and an appearance by Ima Blueberry.
