Event Overview
The Race to Save the Harvest is a fundraiser supporting Salem Harvest's mission to feed hungry families and reduce food waste. The event will take place in Minto-Brown Island Park in Salem.
Course Details
The courses are set on shaded, hard-surface paths within the park. The start and finish area is at the south end of Parking Lot 3 near a covered picnic area. The event features a 3k out-and-back course and a 5k loop course.
Event Information
There is no official timing for the event. The focus is on a non-competitive atmosphere. There are four event options:
- 5K Run/Walk for ages 18+.
- 3K Run/Walk for ages 18+.
- 5k Run/Walk for Kids for ages 5-17.
- 3k Run/Walk for Kids for ages 5-17.
Packet pickup is available at two locations: Friday at Gallagher Fitness Resources in Salem, or Saturday morning at the park near Parking Lot 3.
On-Site Activities
The event includes raffle prizes for participants, with additional tickets available for purchase. Ima Blueberry, a mascot, will be in attendance. Other activities include yard games, bicycle-blended smoothies, snacks, and community informational booths.
Registration Details
Entry fees increase after June 4, 2026. An event t-shirt is included with registrations completed before June 5, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
