Race to Restore
The Race to Restore is a running and walking event held in Lansing, Michigan. The course is located within the historic Mt. Hope Cemetery at 1800 E. Mt. Hope Ave. This event serves as a fundraiser specifically focused on raising money to upright downed markers and monuments within the cemetery grounds.
The event features the following distance:
- 5k Run/Walk
Participants receive a numbered bib and a finisher medal upon completion of the course. The event is professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation, ensuring that results are recorded and available for review. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners of the race.
The registration fee is set at $30, though the organizers offer a full entry fee waiver for individuals who contribute a $60 donation during the registration process. A partial discount is also available for $30 donations.
Packet pickup is organized for the day before the event at the Cemetery Courtesy Office located across the street from the cemetery.
