Silver Bells 5K - Lansing, MI
The Silver Bells 5K is scheduled for November 21, 2026 in downtown Lansing. The event is presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network and features a marked 5K course open to runners and walkers.
A costume contest runs alongside the race with categories for holiday traditional, festive sweater and holiday movies. Contestants check in at the Blue Cross Blue Shield tent; volunteers will photograph entrants. Winners are announced by email and prizes are mailed to recipients.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Playmakers in Okemos and on the Capitol Lawn the morning of the event. Participants may pick up packets for family or friends on their behalf. Race day parking is available on City of Lansing street side at no cost.
Age group awards are handed out at the BCBS tent after the event to the top three finishers in each five-year age group. Any realized proceeds benefit the Chris and Louise Holman Foundation and Silver Bells in the City; more than $66,000 has been donated to local organizations that support at-risk youth in Mid-Michigan communities.
