Race The Tide 2026
Race The Tide 2026 is the 13th running of a 10 km obstacle course held in the grounds of historic Muncaster Castle in the Lake District, near Ravenglass, Cumbria CA18 1RD. The event uses the castle grounds as its start and finish area.
The route follows wild and natural features. Participants will crawl through mud, wade through rivers, tackle built obstacles and scramble up wooded hillsides. The terrain combines natural sections and constructed elements typical of obstacle course races.
The event includes a celebratory dinner and a Ceilidh. Organisers also offer a full weekend of activities, with accommodation options at Muncaster’s campsite or in indoor rooms for participants and visitors.
Timing is handled with ankle chips. Race numbers and timing chips are collected the day before the race at Race HQ. The minimum age for entry is 16. Entry fees start from £51.50 and a 2 hours 45 minutes cut off time applies to the course. Prize categories and additional event details are managed by the race organiser.
