Hoad Hill Harriers Xmas 10k
The Hoad Hill Harriers Xmas 10k event includes a 1 Mile Fun Run and a 10 km race. The races take place on a Sunday in early December from the Ulverston Park Sports and Social Club (formerly GSK Sports Club) on North Lonsdale Road in Ulverston, Cumbria.
The course for the 10 km race starts on the road next to the clubhouse. It is described as flat and fast, weaving through Ulverston and heading towards the coast road. The route goes into and out of the grounds of Conishead Priory before returning to finish in front of the clubhouse.
The event offers prizes for the first three male and female finishers, and for first place in veteran categories from V40 upwards. Team prizes are awarded for the first three finishers from a club, who must wear club vests. All fun run participants receive a medal, and all 10 km finishers receive a memento. The minimum age for the 10 km is 15. Participants in the fun run under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
