Event overview
Race The Ranch is a snowshoe race at YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch in Granby, Colorado, held on April 4, 2026. The event offers three distances:
- 50k : 4 laps, 2,188 ft gain
- 25k : 2 laps, 2,046 ft gain
- 5k : 1 lap, 467 ft gain
The start/finish area is near the Nordic Center at the CCO Campers Hub, 1101 Co Rd 53, Granby, CO 80446. Each participant receives a custom bib, a Fractel beanie, and a custom engraved Miir camp mug.
Course and logistics
Snowshoes are required to be carried or worn for the entire race. Course routing may be modified before race day; runners should expect singletrack, doubletrack, and groomed snowshoe trails, with under 8 miles and about 500 ft of climbing per loop. There are two aid stations: the start/finish area and one on course at approximately 4 miles, offering water/Skratch, chips, cookies, bananas, vegetable soup or broth, and assorted salty and sweet snacks. The event is cup-less; participants are asked to use their own cup or bottle or buy a reusable cup for $5 during packet pickup. Packet pickup is offered Friday, April 3 (location TBD) and limited pickup on race morning. Parking is permitted only in designated spots.
