Event overview
The Summits Trail Runs take place on June 6, 2026 at Granby Ranch Resort in Granby, Colorado. The event offers multiple trail distances on single-track trails, alpine meadows, and forested terrain with notable elevation change. The Elevation Challenge is loop-based: each loop is 1.92 miles with 832' of climb and 832' of descent (1,664' total change). The final result for the Elevation Challenge is the total elevation climbed; only complete loops count.

Logistics and entries
Runner capacity is 250 (combined). Registration opens December 1, 2025 and online registration closes June 2, 2026; registrations after May 25, 2026 are not guaranteed a race shirt or finisher award. Sample entry prices listed on the event page include $138.80 for the Elevation Challenge and 50k, $107 for the Marathon, $85.80 for the Half Marathon, and $54 for the 6-Mile. Race entries include a gender-specific shirt and a finisher medal, subject to availability.
Aid stations are described as well stocked. Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish aid station; some multi-loop entries may use Bootlegger Aid Station. Crews and pacers are permitted only for the Elevation Challenge and crew size is limited to three people at a time. Camping is available in a secured parking lot for a fee; porta-potties will be provided and there is no running water or electricity on site. All awards are presented on site; no awards will be mailed. The event is held under agreement with the private landowners of Granby Ranch Resort.
