Event Overview
Race for Wishes is a multi-sport event held in Elkhart, Indiana, hosted at Concord Junior High School (CJHS). The event is organized in partnership with Make-A-Wish and features running, walking, and strength challenges. All running events start and end on the grounds of the junior high school.
The schedule includes several distinct event options:
- 5K Run
- 1 mile Fun Run/Walk
- Rower Power Pull Event
The Rower Power Pull is a strength competition that takes place before, during, and after the running events. Registration packets are available for pickup at the venue on the morning of the event. Participants who complete their registration by March 7 are guaranteed an event T-shirt.
Competition and Amenities
Awards are presented to top performers in both the running and strength categories. Running awards are divided into twelve age groups, ranging from 11 and under to 60 and over. The strength competition features awards for participants 11 and under, two teen divisions, and overall top male and female finishers in the adult division.
Throughout the duration of the race and the strength competition, food and drinks are available. Diversified food trucks are stationed on-site for both participants and guests to use. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
