Race for Peace 5K
The Little Village Rotary Club presents the 6th annual Race for Peace, a community 5K Run/Walk taking place in Chicago on May 30, 2026. The event is centered in the Little Village neighborhood at 2800 S Sacramento Ave, Chicago, IL 60623.
The race's objective is to promote anti-violence by supporting youth programs in Little Village and surrounding communities. Proceeds will be invested into the community through renewable grants, youth development, and job training.
The event includes both competitive and non-competitive in-person 5K races. Only the competitive 5K qualifies runners for cash prizes; all in-person 5K entries qualify for age-group and gender awards. Events are open to participants aged 5 to 100.
All registered runners will receive a finisher medallion and a Race Day event t-shirt. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in both the men and women categories. The course is chip-timed and certified as a 5K (IL21011NM). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
