Race for Peace
Race for Peace is scheduled for October 24, 2026, at Research Campus Park in Kannapolis, North Carolina, with the start area in front of the David H. Murdock Research Institute. The event is hosted by The S.T.U.D.I.O.
The event features a 5K distance and invites runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The Race for Peace 5K is one of eight races in the Run Kannapolis Race Series; registering for the entire series by March 28 yields a 25% discount on the total series registration price.
Packet pickup is scheduled on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Bethel Enrichment Center, 1209 Opal Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083. Additional packet pickup is available on race day, Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:45 am at 150 Research Campus Drive, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
Registration policies specify that there are no refunds and that Race Management may cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation attributed to "Acts of God." Published registration pricing for the 5K shows $28.45 for the Jan 7 to Sep 17 period and $33.75 for Sep 18 to Oct 24. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
