Race for Life Taunton (Taunton 10k) 2026
Race for Life Taunton is organised by Cancer Research UK at Bridgwater and Taunton College (Taunton Centre), Wellington Road, Taunton TA1 5AX. The event is open to participants aged 16 and over and has a minimum fundraising target of £50.00.
Available distances:
- 10k
- 5k
- 3k
The course starts and finishes on grass and runs mainly on gravel paths with gentle slopes. The route passes through Longrun Meadow and includes sections on mixed terrain. Parts of the 10k route into and out of French Weir Park include two narrower bridges that may be unsuitable for wider mobility vehicles. The 10k event is chip-timed.
Facilities at the site include refreshments, toilets, bag drop and showers. The venue has cycle parking and an electric charging point nearby. Parking at the college is limited; Blue Badge parking is available within about 400 m of the event site. Bus services stop near the Castle School and Taunton rail station is roughly a 20 minute walk.
The event aims to support accessibility; it is wheelchair accessible with assistance but surfaces can become boggy and uneven in poor weather. Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, a QR code provides British Sign Language stage content, and Event Managers have Dementia Friends training.
Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
