Race for Life Shrewsbury 5k

The 5km course lies within a 29-acre park on the bank of the River Severn, near the Dingle garden. The course includes four short climbs of around 200 m each, with an average gradient of 5.7% on those sections. Surfaces are a mix of well maintained paths and grass; grass areas can become boggy in wet weather but can be avoided.
The start and finish are located on the grass field next to the swimming pool inside The Quarry. The precise starting point is given as ///linen.purple.bunny for use with the what3words app.
Travel notes: there is no designated event parking; the nearest major car park is Frankwell, about 0.5 miles away and free on Sundays. Drop-offs are best by the Victoria Avenue gate, less than 100 m from the event site. Shrewsbury Bus Station is approximately 0.5 miles away and Shrewsbury Railway Station about 0.6 miles.
On-site facilities include refreshments and toilets; dogs are allowed. The route is wheelchair accessible with assistance. Sunflower wristbands are available at enquiries and a QR code will provide British Sign Language stage content.
