Race for Life Reading : Prospect Park
This event offers two chip-timed running distances at Prospect Park in Reading: a 10k and a 5k. The start and finish are on grass. The route is predominantly on grass and includes woodland sections and some steep slopes; the 10k is run as a double lap of the 5k route. The course has a maximum ascent of 71 m and in wet weather grass and woodland sections may become muddy and slippery.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and limited parking at the venue. There is a pay and display car park at Meadway Shopping Centre a short walk away and Blue Badge parking close to the Ranger Station. Cycle racks are available near the artificial sports pitches. Public transport options include bus routes that pass Prospect Park and Reading West station about a 15-minute walk from the park.

Child entry (ages 6–15) must be registered by a parent or guardian and children must be accompanied on the day; children under 6 may attend free but are not registered participants.
