Reading Race for Life 5k at Prospect Park
The event takes place on Sunday 7 June 2026 at Prospect Park, Liebenrood Road, Reading, RG30 2ND. It is for people aged 16 and over. The standard entry fee shown is £15.99 and the minimum fundraising target is £50.00.
The route starts and finishes on grass and is predominantly on grass. The course incorporates woodland terrain and several steep inclines. The start and finish are located on the grass field near the tennis courts, cafe and ranger station within the centre of the park.
There is limited event parking accessed from the main drive off Liebenrood Road, and a 10-minute walk from the event car park to the site. An alternative pay and display car park is available at Meadway Shopping Centre, about a 10 to 15 minute walk. Blue Badge parking and a drop off point are located at the car park next to the Ranger Station. No electric vehicle charging points are available on site.
Public transport options include buses that travel past Prospect Park on routes 1, 143 and 33. Reading West train station is approximately a 15 minute walk. Reading Cycle Route R50 and National Route N422 run through or alongside the park and cycle racks are provided near the artificial sports pitches.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments, toilets and parking. Dogs are not allowed. The route and event site are not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs due to steep and varied terrain with over 80% of the route on grass. Sunflower wristbands, trained Event Managers and a BSL QR code are available to support accessibility.
