Reading Pretty Muddy 5k
The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course at Prospect Park, Liebenrood Road, Reading RG30 2ND. The route starts and finishes on grass and is predominantly on grass. The course includes steep slopes and sections of woodland terrain, and the ground may be uneven or become soft and muddy in wet weather. The course map is subject to change. Waves are staggered every 15 minutes and marshals are present to assist at obstacles.
Participants receive event resources and items after registration, including a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a finishers medal. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK. Ticket prices listed are Adults £25.49 and Children £15.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00.
Travel and parking information notes limited on‑site parking and advises use of alternative parking at Meadway Shopping Centre. Blue Badge parking is available approximately 50 metres from the event site on hardstanding near the Ranger Station. There are no electric vehicle charging points. Public transport routes that pass the park include buses 1, 143 and 33; Reading West station is about a 15 minute walk. Cycle routes run through and near the park and cycle racks are provided close to the artificial sports pitches.
Facilities available include refreshments, toilets and parking. Dogs are not allowed. Bag drop and showers are not available and the event is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
