Poole Pretty Muddy 5k at Baiter Park
The Poole Pretty Muddy 5k is an obstacle event organised by Cancer Research UK on Saturday 30 May 2026. The course combines climbing, crawling and sliding over approximately 5 kilometres and is designed for participants aged 13 and older. Start and finish are on grass and the route runs on a mixture of grass and tarmac, looping around Poole Park, passing under the railway line and entering Whitecliff Recreational Ground and Harbourside Park.
Waves start every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course. Participants move at their own pace and marshals are available to assist at obstacles. A minimum fundraising target applies.
The venue is Baiter Park, Catalina Drive, Poole BH15 1TQ. Parking near the park is limited; available car parks include Harbourside 1 and 2, with a designated drop off point at Harbourside 1. Blue badge parking is very limited. The closest train station is Poole Railway Station, about a 16 minute walk from the site. There are no bike racks at the event.
Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. Bag drop and showers are not available. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs and dogs are not allowed. Accessibility measures include sunflower wristbands, trained Event Managers and BSL stage content via QR code. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training resources and a Race for Life medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
