Milton Keynes Pretty Muddy 5k
The event is a 5k obstacle course at Willen Lake, Milton Keynes. The course starts and finishes on grass and is mainly on tarmacked paths with some grassy sections. Participants climb, crawl and slide around a series of obstacles while marshals are positioned to assist on the course.
Waves start every 15 minutes to manage safety; groups should register for the same wave. The event is open to people aged 13 and older. There is a separate Pretty Muddy Kids programme for children aged 12 and under. A minimum fundraising target is set at £50. Entry fees listed are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children.
The meeting point is the grass area between the splash park and the play area, next to the ferris wheel. Blue badge parking is available in Car Park B. General parking is available around Willen Lake with normal pay and display charges and is about a 10 minute walk from the event site. Milton Keynes train station is approximately 1 mile away. There are no electric charging points and no bike racks on site.
Facilities noted as available include refreshments, toilets and parking. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs and dogs are not allowed. Registered participants receive pre-event information by email. A medal is awarded at the finish and participants receive a fundraising pack and a customisable back sign.
