Liverpool Pretty Muddy 5k - Sefton Park
The Liverpool Pretty Muddy event is a 5 km outdoor obstacle course at Sefton Park on Saturday 25 July 2026. The course asks participants to climb, crawl and slide through a series of muddy obstacles and is organised by Cancer Research UK.
The route runs around Sefton Park on a mixture of gravel paths and grass. There are some undulations that are not significant. Grass sections can become boggy in wet weather. Waves start every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course; groups should register for the same wave. Marshals are present to assist at obstacles.
Participants must be at least 13 years old. The meeting point for start and finish is the field to the left of the Sefton Park Obelisk. There is no designated event parking, drop off zone, blue badge parking or bike racks on site. The closest pedestrian access is the Sefton Park Obelisk entrance from Croxteth Drive, approximately 200 metres from the event site. Bus services serve nearby stops and the nearest train station is St Michaels, about a 20 minute walk from the park.
On-site facilities include refreshments and toilets. Dogs, bag drop and showers are not available. The event is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users. Sunflower wristbands, Dementia Friends trained staff and a BSL QR code are provided to support accessibility. Adult entry is priced at £22.49, child entry at £12.00, and a minimum fundraising target of £50.00 applies.
