Basingstoke Pretty Muddy 5k
Basingstoke Pretty Muddy is a 5k obstacle event at War Memorial Park, Hackwood Road, RG21 4AH, organised by Cancer Research UK. The course starts and finishes on grass and is mostly flat with mixed terrain of paths and grass. In wet weather the ground and sections of the course can become boggy and wet.
The event features obstacles that involve climbing, crawling and sliding around a marked 5k route. Start waves are staggered every 15 minutes and marshals are available on course to assist participants who need to skip obstacles.
Ticketing and entry rules are set by the organiser. Adult entry is listed at £25.49 and child entry at £15.00. The minimum fundraising target is £50. Child tickets are for ages 6 to 15 and children must be registered and accompanied by a parent, guardian or an adult over 18 with consent. Adults who have registered can bring children under 6 free of charge but those children will not be registered participants.
Facilities on site include toilets and refreshments. Dogs are not allowed. The event is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. There is no on-site parking; nearby car parks are within a short walk and Blue Badge parking is available in Crossborough Hill car park approximately 50 m from the event site. Bus services and a 30 minute walk from Basingstoke train station are listed as public transport options.
