Race for Life Newcastle at Town Moor
The event takes place on the Town Moor near Exhibition Park in Newcastle, NE2 3BX. Routes use mixed terrain with paths, road and some short grass sections. The start and finish are on grass. The 10k route is a double lap of the 5k route. The event uses timing chips.

The main event site and some course sections are on grass and may be muddy depending on recent weather. Many paths are surfaced with large stones, creating uneven sections. For this reason the event is recommended as suitable for wheelchair users with assistance and the course can be adapted to avoid grass sections. Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee and Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends. A QR code on site provides British Sign Language stage content.
Facilities listed as available include refreshments, toilets, dogs allowed, suitability for pushchairs and wheelchair access. Facilities not available include bag drop, showers and on site parking. General event parking is not available and access from Claremont Road is restricted due to a local festival. The start and finish are located on the field adjacent to Great North Road behind Wylam Brewery.
Entry fees range from £11.00 to £17.49 and a minimum fundraising target is stated as £50.00. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support resources and a Race for Life medal after finishing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
