Race for Life Newcastle at Town Moor
Cancer Research UK stages a fundraising running event at Town Moor, near Exhibition Park in Newcastle. The route has a flat profile on mixed terrain with paths, road and some short grass sections. The start and finish areas are on grass. In wet weather the grass may become soft or muddy and the course surface can be affected.
The 10k route is a double lap of the 5k course. The organiser describes the 10k as more challenging and the events are chip timed.

Entry notes and costs include an adult price of £20.49, a child price of £14.00, and a minimum fundraising target of £50. Child entry is for ages 6 to 15 and children must be registered and accompanied by a parent, guardian or an adult with parental consent. Adults may bring children under 6 free of charge but they are not registered participants.
Location and logistics: the meeting point is on the field adjacent to Great North Road behind Wylam Brewery. No event parking is provided; city centre car parks and limited roadside parking on Claremont Road are suggested. Drop offs are at the entrance to Exhibition Park. Newcastle Central Station is a 26 minute walk and Jesmond Metro is a 15 minute walk. The event is wheelchair accessible with assistance.
