The start and finish are on grass. The course is flat and uses mixed terrain including paths, road and small sections on grass. The 10k route is a double lap of the 5k course. Events are chip timed and there may be congestion at the start of the second lap.
Facilities listed as available include refreshments, toilets, dogs allowed, suitability for pushchairs and wheelchair accessibility. Bag drop and showers are not available. There is no event parking; attendees are asked to use city centre car parks and limited roadside parking is available on Claremont Road. Drop offs are at the entrance to Exhibition Park. Blue Badge parking is not available at the event. The nearest electric vehicle charging is at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
Pedestrian access is via gates from Great North Road. There are bus stops along Great North Road. Newcastle Central Station is a 26 minute walk and Jesmond Metro is a 15 minute walk. There are no cycling bike racks listed on site.
Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans and a Race for Life medal. The minimum fundraising target is £50. Earlybird entry prices shown are £8.74 for ages 16 and over and £5.50 for children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
