Liverpool - Aintree 10k
The event takes place at Aintree Racecourse, Ormskirk Road, Liverpool L9 5AS. The course starts on a tarmac path and finishes on grass, and includes a combination of tarmac, grass and sand underfoot. The start and finish lines are located within the centre of the racecourse.
Available distances:
- 10k - chip timed, mixed surfaces, finish on grass.
- 5k - shorter option on the same venue.
Participants must be aged 16 and over. Entry prices listed include adult and child rates, and there is a minimum fundraising target of £50. The event provides on-site toilets and refreshments, a bag drop and a medal at the finish. Cycling access and bike racks are not available. Event parking is provided at the main entrance via Grand National Avenue with a number of blue badge spaces. Pedestrian access is from the main entrance and Aintree rail station is approximately a five minute walk from the venue. The route has been assessed as not wheelchair accessible due to the terrain; organisers provide sunflower wristbands at enquiries and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content.
