Race for Life Leeds 5k : Temple Newsam
Race for Life Leeds is a 5-kilometre fundraising event taking place on Sunday 12 July 2026 at Temple Newsam, Temple Newsam Road, Leeds LS15 0AE. The event is open to people aged 16 and over. Ticket prices shown are £15.99 and children priced at £11.00. The minimum fundraising target is £50.00.
The route is a single lap that starts and finishes on grass on a slight hill. The course runs on a combination of grass, surfaced paths and woodland paths and includes varying elevations. Approximately 2.5 km of the route is uphill. The start and finish meeting point is the field in front of Temple Newsam House, adjacent to the Courtyard and Animal Farm; what3words ///smashes.models.hurt indicates the starting area.
Parking and access are via Temple Newsam Road, with the on-site route from that entrance around 300 m on paths and grass sloping downhill. Drop offs are possible near the roundabout at the end of Temple Newsam Road. Blue badge and volunteer parking are available in the same general parking area. The nearest train station is Cross Gates, about 1.9 miles from the venue. Cycle stands are available at the Walled Garden and the Farm Car Park and cycle lockers in the Stable Courtyard.
Facilities listed as available include refreshments and toilets. The course is described as wheelchair accessible with assistance because of inclines and grass sections. Sunflower wristbands will be available at the enquiries marquee, event managers are trained Dementia Friends, and a QR code on site will provide British Sign Language stage content.
