Kingston and Kempton Park 10k
The event at Kempton Park Racecourse in Sunbury-on-Thames is organised by Cancer Research UK. It offers multiple running distances and takes place on a course that uses tarmac, grass and sections of the racetrack.
The start and finish areas are on a mixture of grass and hardstanding. The main course for the 10k is a double lap on tarmac and is described as flat throughout, with small sections over the racetrack that can be slightly uneven. In wet weather grass and racetrack sections may become muddy or slippery. The route may have congestion at the 3k split point. The event is chip timed.
Facilities at the venue include refreshments, toilets, bag drop and showers. The site is suitable for pushchairs and is wheelchair accessible with assistance. Parking is available in the main car park, including Blue Badge bays approximately 0.3 miles from the event site on grass, a drop off point by the main entrance and bike racks in the car park. The Kempton Park train station is located in the venue main car park. Local bus stops are around 0.6 to 0.8 miles away.
Entry fees shown for earlybird categories range from £5.50 to £8.74 and a minimum fundraising target is indicated as £50. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a finishers medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
