Exeter 5k : Westpoint, Exeter
The Exeter 5k takes place on Saturday 24 July 2027 at Westpoint, Clyst St. Mary, Exeter, EX5 1DJ. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK and has a minimum fundraising target of £50. Entry fees listed for earlybird places are £7.99 for ages 16 and over and £5.50 for children.
The course starts and finishes on a tarmac path on the showground and follows paths and fields around the showground. Surfaces include road, tarmac pathways, hardstanding and grass. Start and finish areas are on grass that is slightly sloped and uneven underfoot; in wet weather the ground and grassy sections may become soft, muddy or slippery and could increase the level of assistance required.
Parking and access information notes general parking and a drop-off point within Westpoint, and Blue Badge parking on hardstanding approximately 160 m from the event site. There are no electric vehicle charging points and no bike racks. Pedestrian access from the A3052 is via the Orange Gate. Bus services 9 and 52 run from Exeter city centre and Westpoint is a request stop; the nearest train station is Exeter St David’s, around 6 miles away.
Facilities available include refreshments and toilets. The event is wheelchair accessible with assistance. Participants receive items such as a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support materials and a Race for Life medal.
