Race for Life County Durham at Riverside Park
This event, organised by Cancer Research UK, takes place at Riverside Park in Chester-le-Street (Riverside South, DH3 3SJ). It is open to participants aged 16 and over and includes a minimum fundraising target of £50.

The start and finish are on grass. The course uses mixed terrain including grass, tarmac and gravel paths. The 10 km route is made up of two 5 km laps and the event is chip timed.
The meeting point is within Riverside Park, near the skatepark off Ropery Lane. Public transport access includes the 78 Country Ranger bus that stops at the park and Chester-Le-Street train station which is about a 20 minute walk away. Designated event parking areas and a drop off point are noted in event directions.
On site facilities listed include refreshments, toilets, bag drop and showers. Dogs are allowed and the site is suitable for pushchairs. The course is accessible with assistance due to grass and gravel sections. Sunflower wristbands, trained Event Managers and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content are available to support participants.
Entry fees shown are £17.49 for adults and £11.00 for children. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
