Race for Life Carlisle 3k
Race for Life Carlisle is a 3k community fundraising event held on Sunday 05 Jul 2026 at Bitts Park, Dacre Rd, Carlisle CA3 8UZ. The event is open to participants aged 16 and over. Entry prices listed are £14.99 for adults and £10.00 for children. The minimum fundraising target is £50.00.
The start and finish are on the main playing fields of Bitts Park. The course is predominantly flat and runs mostly on smooth paths and grass, with a short section of woodland trails. In dry weather the route is accessible to wheelchair users but assistance is recommended. In wet weather large sections of the course may be inaccessible to wheelchairs and the grassy start and finish areas may be difficult to access.
Parking is available at the Devonshire Walk Car Park opposite the park; this is a pay and display car park and Blue Badge parking is available there. There are no designated drop off points. The nearest electric vehicle charging points are at Sainsburys Carlisle. Carlisle Train Station is approximately a 15 minute walk from the start and several bus services stop a short walk away. Bike racks are available at Sheepmount Athletics Stadium.
Support and event services include refreshments, toilets and an enquiries marquee. Sunflower wristbands will be available and Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends. A QR code for British Sign Language stage content will be provided. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support, access to the organiser community and a Race for Life medal on completion.
