The venue is The Seafront, Pier Approach, Bournemouth, BH1 2EZ. The start and finish are on hardstanding in front of the Seafront offices by Pier Approach. The course follows tarmac paths along the seafront towards Boscombe Pier, continues along Boscombe promenade after leaving the 5k route, turns around after 5k and returns to Pier Approach. The event is chip timed.

Facilities listed as available include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed. The event is suitable for pushchairs and is wheelchair accessible; the route is on flat tarmac roads and paths and may require assistance for some users. Not available or suitable are bag drop and showers, and parking is not provided on site. Blue badge parking is available at Bath Road North and Bath Road South. Buses stop at Pier Approach and the closest rail station is Bournemouth Train Station, about 1.5 miles away. Electric charging points are in city centre car parks and there are no bike racks at the event.
Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support, community access and a Race for Life medal on completion.
