Race for Life Basingstoke 3k
Race for Life Basingstoke is a 3k event taking place on Sunday 24 May 2026 at War Memorial Park, Hackwood Road, Basingstoke. The event lists an age requirement of 16 and over and an entry fee of £14.99, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.
The course starts and finishes on grass and follows a mixture of tarmac paths, woodland tracks and grass. The route is mostly flat with mixed terrain and includes a small incline near the end. In wet weather some sections can become boggy and wet. The meeting point is in the field behind Crossborough car park near the play park.
There is no parking at the venue itself. Nearby car parks include Southern Road, Castons Car park, Castons Yard and Joices Yard with short walks to the start. Blue badge parking is available in Crossborough Hill car park and drop off is possible via entrances on Crossborough Hill, Hackwood Road and London Road. Bus services serving the area include routes 17, 10, 12 and 13 with short walks to the start. The train station is approximately a 30 minute walk.
On site facilities include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed. The event is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users and there are no bike racks, showers or bag drop. Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends, and a QR code will provide British Sign Language stage content.
