Basildon Pretty Muddy 5k
Basildon Pretty Muddy 5k takes place on Saturday 19 June 2027 at Gloucester Park, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon SS14 3GR. The event is organised by Cancer Research UK. Adult entry is listed at £25.49 and child entry at £15.00, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00.
The course is fully contained within Gloucester Park around lakes. The start and finish are on grass on the football pitches behind Basildon Sporting Village. Paths on the route include a mix of grass and tarmac and are mostly flat with a couple of hilly sections. In wet weather the ground may become soft or muddy.
Pretty Muddy is an obstacle course where participants climb, crawl and slide around the route. Waves are staggered every 15 minutes to manage on-course numbers. Participants must be at least 13 years old to take part. Child tickets are for ages 6 to 15; children must be registered and accompanied by a parent or guardian or an adult over 18 who has the parent or guardian’s consent. Children under 6 may attend free but are not registered participants.
On-site facilities include refreshments, toilets and a bag drop. Dogs are not allowed. The event is not wheelchair accessible; Blue Badge parking is available approximately 100 metres from the event site on tarmac. Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on completion.
