Race for Life Basildon 5k

The route is mostly flat with a couple of hilly sections and some uneven ground near the lake; conditions can be muddy in wet weather. Transport and parking arrangements note limited free event parking accessed via Basildon Sporting Village car park, with town centre car parks a further option; participants are asked to avoid parking in retail parks. Blue badge parking is available within Basildon Sporting Village car park. The closest train station is Basildon, about 2 miles away. First Bus operates services to Gloucester Park. There are 15 cycle spaces and two electric vehicle charging stations in the sporting village car park.
Facilities include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed, the route is suitable for pushchairs, and the event is accessible to wheelchair users with assistance. Sunflower wristbands, British Sign Language stage content via QR code, and trained Event Managers for dementia-friendly support are available.
