Basildon Race for Life events 2027
The event is held in Gloucester Park, Cranes Farm Road, Basildon SS14 3GR. It takes place around lakes within the park and is organised by Cancer Research UK as part of the Race for Life series in 2027.

The start and finish are on grass on the football pitches behind Basildon Sporting Village. The route is fully contained within Gloucester Park and uses a mix of grass and tarmac paths. The course is mostly flat but includes a couple of hilly sections and inclines near the lake. An alternative route can bypass the inclines but may shorten the course. In wet weather grass sections and the start area may become soft or muddy.
Accessibility and facilities are provided on site. The event is wheelchair accessible with assistance and blue badge parking is available approximately 100 metres from the event site. There is limited event car parking accessed via Basildon Sporting Village car park and town centre car parks are also an option. The venue lists refreshments, toilets, space for pushchairs, allowance of dogs, and cycle parking near the sports village.
Participants receive event materials including a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans and preparation support, and a Race for Life medal on completion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
