About the race
The Race for Grace 5k is a community running and walking event held in Zanesville on Thursday, November 26, 2026, presented by Eastside Community Ministry, Grace Church and the Zanesville Noon Rotary Club. The event offers the following distances:
- 5k
- 1 mile walk
All proceeds support Eastside Community Ministry’s Choice Food Pantry and the Zanesville Noon Rotary’s Healthy Bodies Health Minds programs. The pantry allows families to visit once a month and provides enough groceries to prepare approximately three meals per day for three days for each person. The pantry serves more than 5,000 families and supplies enough groceries for more than 150,000 meals each year. The Rotary program works with local schools and organizations to address child food insecurity and provided 200 meal bags during the summer of 2026.
The 5k begins at Grace Church and follows a primarily flat course through downtown Zanesville. After finishing, participants may warm up inside Grace Church and find coffee and hot chocolate. Dogs are permitted on the 1 mile walk only and are not allowed on the 5k course because some course sections are narrow and include two-way traffic. Entry fees and packet options are listed by the organizers; the 1 mile walk is free and does not include a race packet or event shirt. Awards are given for top overall finishers and age-group placings in the 5k. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
