Race For Catherine
The Race For Catherine is a sixth annual fundraiser held October 9–11, 2026 in Newtown, Connecticut at Keating Farms Ave. The event includes in-person certified and timed 5K run/walk activities on October 11 and virtual 5K options that take place October 9–11.
In-person offerings include a family friendly certified and timed 5K and a youth 5K. The finish area features rescued animal ambassadors and adoptable animals. A free breakfast is provided after the in-person races. A separate Kids Kindness Dash is offered for children ages 3 to 9; that dash includes a finisher medal and race bib.
Virtual options run October 9–11 and include a virtual 5K and a virtual youth 5K. Virtual participants may form teams, run or walk with pets, and use the RaceJoy app for tracking and remote participation.
Registration opens March 18, 2026 and closes April 30, 2026. Registration fees vary by category: in-person 5K $40, in-person youth 5K $25, virtual 5K $30, virtual youth 5K $20, Kids Kindness Dash $15. Event race packets include T-shirts, finisher medals, and race bibs as noted for each entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
