Race Against Hunger : Newfane, NY
The 2nd Annual Race Against Hunger takes place on June 13, 2026 in Historic Newfane, New York. The Newfane Lions Club organizes the event and proceeds benefit the Newfane Community Food Pantry and the First Baptist Church Food Pantry. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations on race day.

- 1 km Fun WalkRun
The start and finish lines are located behind the Newfane Town Hall at 2737 Main Street, Newfane, NY 14108. There is free street parking near the start and finish. Packet pickup is held at Newfane Town Hall on race day. Online registration remains open until the event begins.
Registration fees vary by date: the 5K is listed as $25 through April 30 then $30; the 1 km Fun Run is listed as $20 through April 30 then $25. Children 12 and under may participate in the Fun Run for free; shirts are not included for free entries. Participants who register before June 5 are guaranteed an official race t-shirt in their requested size; a limited number of extra shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Timing is provided using RFID technology and results are updated in real time. Finish line photos and downloadable custom finisher certificates are available. Trophies will be presented to the overall 1st place male and female 5K finishers, and awards will be given by age group. A post-race gathering in the Town Hall parking lot will offer bottled water, music, light snacks, and planned food vendors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
