Event Overview
The Race Against Hunger is a 5K run and 1K fun walk/run in Newfane, New York. The event is organized by the Newfane Lions Club, with proceeds benefiting the Newfane Community Food Pantry and the First Baptist Church Food Pantry. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations on race day.

Race Details
The start and finish lines are located behind the Newfane Town Hall. Packet pickup also takes place at the Town Hall. Parking is available for free on nearby streets.
Registration and Fees
- 5K Registration: $25 until April 30, then $30.
- 1K Fun Run: $20 until April 30, then $25.
- Kids 12 and under can participate in the Fun Run for free (a t-shirt is not included). Online registration remains open until the race starts. Participants who register before a specific deadline are guaranteed a race t-shirt in their requested size.
Post-Race
A celebration will be held in the Town Hall parking lot after the race, featuring bottled water, music, and light snacks. There will also be food vendors. Trophies are awarded to the first-place overall male and female 5K finishers, and age group winners are recognized. Custom finisher certificates and finish line photos will be available for download after the event.
Timing
The 5K run is timed using electronic RFID timing. Results are posted in real-time and can be accessed via a mobile app, results kiosks, or online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
