About the race
Race 4 Grace at Zappe Park in Mineral Wells is a community fundraiser that pairs a running program with a pancake breakfast to benefit Grace House Ministries’ Mineral Wells location. The event includes two organized running events:
- 5K (5 kilometers)
- 1K Fun Run (1 kilometer)
Each registration includes a ticket to the pancake breakfast. Registrants who sign up by March 22 are guaranteed a t-shirt; t-shirts after that date are as supplies last. Each 5K participant will receive a medal. Fun Run participants will not be officially timed.
Registration fees are tiered. Fun Run fees: early-bird before January 31, a pre-registration period through April 2, and a higher day-of fee. 5K fees: early-bird before January 31, a pre-registration period through April 2, and a higher day-of fee. Team registrations are accepted; teams must have at least four participants and each team member receives a $5 discount. The first registrant creates the team and is designated team captain. Social, church, and corporate teams are accepted. An award is planned for the team with the most participants.
Awards for the 5K include overall male and female winners and age-group award pins for the following groups: 11 & under; 12-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 & over. Fun Run awards include participation ribbons for children 12 and under. People attending only the breakfast may make a minimum $10 donation at the event.
