Event Overview

The Lone Star Night Run is a running event held on the Lake Mineral Wells State Park Trailway in Weatherford, Texas. It is part of the Texas Summer Night Series.

Course Details

The course is an out-and-back route that begins and ends at the Weatherford Trailhead. The surface is a flat, open trail of soft fine gravel. The route has a slight incline on the way out and a downhill to the finish.

Event Information

The event takes place at night. A headlamp or light is required for all participants. It is a cupless race, meaning participants must bring their own water carrying system; a 32-ounce capacity is suggested. Aid stations are located at miles 0, 3, 5, 8, and 10, providing water, electrolytes, pickle juice, and bananas. A shuttle service transports participants between the start area and overflow parking.

Awards and Series

All finishers receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal. Top male and female placers (1st, 2nd, 3rd) in each running distance receive placement medals. A "Dead Freakin' Last" award is given for the half marathon. The 10K ruck finishers receive a patch. The event is part of an eight-race series across Texas.
