Lone Star Night Run
The Lone Star Night Run is a night trail event near Weatherford, Texas, held on the Lake Mineral Wells State Park Trailway on September 12, 2026. The event uses an out and back course that begins and ends at the Weatherford Trailhead on an open trail surfaced with soft fine gravel. Elevation is relatively flat with a slight incline on the outbound section and a downhill on the return.
Distances offered:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K Ruck
All participants must carry a water system; a 32 oz capacity is recommended. This is a cupless event so runners should bring a bottle or soft flask to refill at aid stations. Headlamps or other lights are required for all distances. Aid stations are located at the main tent at the start and finish and at intermediate hydration stations around miles 3, 5, 8 and 10 where water and electrolytes are provided; the main tent also supplies pickle juice and bananas.
Ruck entries have weight requirements based on body weight. Parking at the start is first come first serve with overflow parking available; a shuttle transports participants between overflow areas and the start/finish. Awards include a tri blend T shirt for all distances, a finisher medal, first place awards by gender, and a DFL award for the half marathon.
