Course
The courses run on a variety of trails around Possum Kingdom Lake. Trail surfaces include rocks, roots, sand, climbs and flat sections. Each loop on the course has approximately 1,460 feet of elevation gain. The route provides views of Possum Kingdom Lake.
Logistics and policies
The organizer provides FAQs, cupless race details and introductory trail running information on its website. Volunteer opportunities are available; volunteers earn race credits for future Blaze Trails events. A family member may volunteer and transfer earned race credits to the runner.
The refund and transfer policy: cancellations more than 30 days before race day receive 100% race credit toward another Blaze Trails event; cancellations between 30 days and two weeks before race day receive 50% race credit. No refunds or transfers are allowed less than two weeks before race day. Race credits must be used within one year unless an extension is requested for medical reasons, pregnancy or military deployment.
