Event Overview
Race 2 the Point is an annual community event organized by the Scarborough Primary School PTA. The gathering brings together students, families, and local community members for a day of fitness and fundraising. All proceeds support local primary schools by funding technology, classroom materials, and field trips.
The event includes several distances and categories:
- 5 km Run and Walk
- 1/2 Mile Dash (for children ages 12 and under)
- Kids' Fun Run
Course Details
All races begin at the Blue Point Primary School. The 5 km route starts on Eagles Nest Drive, passes through the school parking lot, and proceeds southeast down Pine Point Road. Participants reach a turnaround point in the parking lot of Maine Seafood Ventures before returning to the school. A water station is located at the turnaround point, and the route is marked with signage and volunteers.
The 1/2 Mile Dash tracks northeast down Eagles Nest Drive for a quarter mile before turning back toward the school. The Kids' Fun Run takes place entirely on the Blue Point School property.

The venue features a Race Expo and a Kids' Fun Zone with various activities. Participant bibs/packets can be collected the evening before the race or on the morning of the event at Blue Point Primary School. Parking is located at the Peterson Field lot, which is a short walk from the start line.
