Raccoon Run 5K : Portland, Maine
The Raccoon Run is a 5K road and off road race held in Portland, Maine on June 21, 2026. The event uses scenic off road sections and stages packet pickup and race day registration at Fleet Feet Maine Running, 309 Marginal Way. The published race start location is 84 Baxter Blvd.
The event notes several entry fee tiers: a Wicked Early Bird rate of $26 by January 8, an Early Bird rate of $29 by April 1, a later pre entry rate of $34, and a race day fee of $39. Colorful event T shirts are distributed to entrants by May 26 as available. Cash prizes are awarded to overall winners and pint glass awards are given to top overall finishers and age group winners. Team awards are presented for first running club, corporate, and open teams of four or more.
Walkers are welcome. Dogs may participate provided they behave and the participant yields at the front of the start. Packet pickup is located 0.4 miles from the finish and 0.9 miles from the start; maps are provided and driving time between locations is under five minutes. The race organizer states there are no refunds. If the event cannot be held due to catastrophic weather, a public health crisis, or other major disruptions, organizers will attempt to reschedule or convert the event to a virtual format where participants submit their results.
