Raby Castle Trail Runs 2026
The Raby Castle Trail Runs take place at Raby Castle, Staindrop, Darlington, DL2 3AH. The event introduces new routes for 2026 with three distance options and is set within the castle park and gardens, which cover about 200 acres. The parkland includes ornamental lakes, woodland trails and open grass sections, with a chance to encounter herds of red and fallow deer during the run.
Routes will be confirmed closer to the event but are described as a mix of firm paths, woodland trails, grass sections and gentle undulations. The event is cani-cross friendly; one controlled dog per runner is allowed. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North.
All finishers receive a medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a drink and snack. There is an option to add a bespoke event T-shirt for £12. Free parking is available on-site for participants.
