Event
The Raby Castle Trail Runs take place on 20 September 2026 at Raby Castle, Staindrop, Darlington, DL2 3AH (what3words ///cares.writers.curls). The event is set within Raby Castle, Park and Gardens, which covers about 200 acres and includes ornamental lakes, woodland trails, and parkland where red and fallow deer may be seen. Distances offered:
- 5 km (age 11+)
- 10 km (age 13+)
- Half Marathon (13.10m) (age 15+)
The course descriptions note a mix of firm paths, woodland trails, grass sections and gentle undulations. One controlled dog per runner is allowed for cani-cross entries. Live chip-timing will be provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive a medal, Wild Deer merchandise, a drink and a snack. A bespoke event T-shirt is available for an additional £12.
