Event Details

The Quota of Indiana "Running for the Gold" 5K is a fundraising event. It is the 10th annual edition of this race. Participants can choose between two event formats:

  • A live, in-person 5K run/walk.
  • A virtual 5K run/walk.

The live event takes place on a Saturday in early June at the Hoodlebug Trail in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The starting point is near the Divine Destiny Church parking lot.

The virtual event takes place over a two-week window from the live event date until late June. Participants in the virtual event can complete their run or walk anywhere they choose, such as on a trail, track, or treadmill.

Organization and Purpose

The event is organized by Quota of Indiana, a service organization with over 50 active members. The group has served the community for over 70 years, with a focus on supporting deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired individuals, as well as disadvantaged women and children.

All funds raised from the event support two scholarships: the Gold Scholarship and the IUP Speech and Hearing Scholarship. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
