Running Goals 5K
The Running Goals 5K is a community 5K run/walk held in Rural Valley, Pennsylvania on July 18, 2026. The event is organized by Armstrong East Soccer Club in partnership with the Shannock Valley Community Festival and is intended to support youth soccer programs.
The course follows the traditional route used in previous years. It begins at the entrance to the community park, travels out Main St toward Numine to a midway point, and returns along the same stretch. Several water stations are located along the route. Snacks and water are available at the finish area.
Registration details are set by the organizer. Registration opens March 31, 2026 and closes July 17, 2026. Race day registration will be available. The registration fee is $25.00. Participants who pre-register by July 6 will receive a free t-shirt; registrations will be accepted through the day of the event.
Awards are given by age group and by overall placing. The event awards 1st and 2nd place in each age group and gender, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall for male and female runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
