The Quivering Quads Fall Classic
The Quivering Quads Fall Classic is the 27th running of the Quivering Quads Trail Race, set for October 25, 2026, at Cuivre River State Park in Troy, Missouri. The event returns to a fall schedule and takes place on trails that feature bluff views and scenery reminiscent of the Missouri Ozarks.
Distances include:
- Half marathon
- 8 mile
The course combines wide fire roads and narrow single-track trails with rolling hills and some steep climbs. Runners will encounter several creek crossings through the bottomland forest of Big Sugar Creek and should expect rocks, roots, and mud on the route. To limit trail congestion, participants are sent in seeded waves of 30 to 35 based on predicted pace.
Participant provisions include a long sleeve shirt, a custom finisher medal, and post-race flapjacks, snacks, beer from Urban Chestnut, and other refreshments. Registration is limited to 400 participants. Packet pickup is available Saturday, October 24, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Fleet Feet St. Charles, and Sunday, October 25, 8:15 am to 10:00 am at the race site.
On-course aid stations will offer minimal supplies, so participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration and nutrition. Course marshals and traffic control will be present, and athletic trainers will be available at the finish area. Dogs are not permitted on the course or at the event.
Awards are given to the top two male and female overall finishers and to the top two male and female finishers in each distance within these age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over.
Volunteer roles include parking, course marshaling, aid stations, and distribution of post-race food and medals. Volunteers receive event swag or a ten dollar gift card to Fleet Feet. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
