The Quivering Quads Fall Classic
The Quivering Quads Fall Classic returns as the 27th running on October 25, 2026, at Cuivre River State Park near Troy, Missouri. The event takes place on trails that highlight bluff views and fall foliage.
Course options include:
- Half marathon trail run
- 8 mile trail run
The route combines wide fire roads, narrow single-track trails, rolling hills, and several steep climbs along with creek crossings through the bottomland forest of Big Sugar Creek. Runners should expect rocks, roots, mud, and the possibility of wildlife. Participants are sent in waves of 30 to 35, seeded by predicted road race pace, to reduce trail congestion. Course distance may be changed by park staff or race directors for safety.
Participants receive a long sleeve shirt, a custom finisher medal, and post-race food and refreshments including flapjacks, snacks, and beer from Urban Chestnut. Registration is limited to 400 participants. Packet pickup is available Saturday, October 24, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Fleet Feet St. Charles, and race morning at the race site from 8:15 am to 10:00 am.
Awards are given to the top two male and female overall finishers and the top two male and female in each age group: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. On-course aid stations will offer minimal supplies so participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration and nutrition. Course marshals, traffic control, and athletic trainers will be present.
