Castlewood Cup
The Castlewood Cup is a trail running event held at Castlewood State Park. The main course covers 15km of single track and includes uphills, downhills, and switchbacks that follow the park terrain. The race is part of the Big River Trail Series, where points are tallied across selected series events.
Packet pickup is offered the day before the race at Big River West County, 13969 Manchester Rd., Manchester, MO 63011, and also on race morning at the Castlewood State Park Special Events Area. Participants receive event apparel and a finisher medal; designs for the current year were noted as forthcoming.
A post-race gathering follows the event and typically features a BBQ lunch, snacks, beer for guests 21 and over, and live music when weather permits. Finisher photos and video are made available after the race, and live runner tracking is provided via mobile and social platforms.
The event is presented by Big River Race Management and supported by a range of sponsors and local partners. The Castlewood Cup appears regularly in the Big River Trail Series lineup and contributes to series standings for runners who complete qualifying events.
