Questars Adventure Race - Chilterns
The event takes place in the Chilterns at Princes Risborough School, Merton Rd, Princes Risborough, HP27 0DR on Saturday 9 January 2027. It combines trail running and mountain biking in a score format: participants use a map and compass to find as many checkpoints as possible within a set time limit. There are no fixed routes or minimum distances; competitors choose which checkpoints to visit and in what order.
Entry options cover solo and team entries (teams of 2, 3 or 4). Event formats and typical durations include a run-only option (up to 2 hours), a bike-only option (up to 3 hours), a Duo Taster run and bike option (up to 3 hours) and a Duo Full run and bike option (up to 5 hours). Prices start from £30 with specific options priced at £30, £35 and £50 as listed.
Bike hire is available at the event; a mountain bike is recommended for off-road terrain. Riders using an e-bike must declare it and will be classified as non-competitive. The venue provides onsite car parking, an indoor hall for shelter, catering with hot and cold food and drinks, and toilets, showers and changing areas.
Mandatory safety kit is required for hill safety. The format is designed to be flexible so participants can tailor time spent on running and biking to their own plans and ability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
