Queeny Backyard Ultra
Queeny Backyard Ultra is scheduled for Friday, March 5, 2027, at Queeny Park, Smith Shelter, 550 Weidman Road, Manchester, MO 63011. This event is presented as the Bronze Ticket edition and is in its seventh year.
The event follows a "Last Person Standing" backyard ultra format. Competitors run repeated loops of approximately 4.19 miles each. Each loop gains about 430 feet of ascent and loses about 430 feet of descent. The course runs counter-clockwise using a combination of the Hawk Ridge Trail, Fox Run Trail, White Oak Trail, and Owl Creek Trails.
Trail surfaces include wide paved sections, short dirt trail segments, and hardpacked stone or gravel. The route has rolling hills and passes through some scenic sections of the park.
The winner of the 2027 race earns a guaranteed entry into a Silver Ticket Event. The Bronze Ticket qualifying window runs from mid-August 2026 through mid-August 2027. The winner is responsible for their own registration fees and entry into any Silver Ticket Event they choose.
Queeny Backyard Ultra is affiliated with the Backyard Ultra Series. The event notes that the Trail Mix Fund can waive registration fees for applicants who meet that program's criteria, including eligible BIPOC and LGBTQ+ participants.
