Queen City 5K
The Queen City 5K is a community sports event held in downtown Cincinnati. The event takes place during the Vibe Cincinnati Music Fest Weekend and serves as a fundraiser for the Queen City Foundation. Proceeds from the event are used to provide programs, resources, and scholarships for students ranging from grade school to college age within the Greater Cincinnati Area.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km Run
- 5 km Walk
The course begins near Paul Brown Stadium and follows a route along the river. Participants pass several landmarks, including Smale Park, Great American Ball Park, and Heritage Bank Arena. The event features entertainment during and after the race to coincide with the local music festival atmosphere.
The race utilizes chip timing with MyLaps Bib Tag technology. Age divisions are established for both runners and walkers, ranging from 18 or 29 and under up to 80 and above. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers in the running and walking categories, as well as to the first-place finishers in each age division.
Registered participants can pick up their packets the day before the event at a local running store in Oakley or at the venue on the morning of the race. Parking is available in various lots and streets adjacent to the starting area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
