Event Overview
The Emerald Miles 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Moerlein Lager House in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event is an annual fundraiser for the Epilepsy Alliance Ohio, held in memory of Dennis Stemler and everyone living with seizures.
Distances & Registration
The event features a single 5K distance for running and walking. Registration categories are:
- Adult Individual 5k (13 and older)
- Child Individual 5k (12 and under)
- Team Registration (All Ages)
Registration fees increase after March 13, 2026, and a $5 fee is added to select an event shirt. Children 2 and under in strollers participate for free but do not receive a shirt, bib, or award. A program allows participants to earn money back on their registration fee by referring others to the event.

The race starts and finishes at the Moerlein Lager House, a new location for the event. An after-party includes music, food, and one free beer or soda per participant (21+ with ID). The top male and female finishers receive Moerlein Lager House gift cards, and the top 40 male and top 40 female finishers get a prize from Queen City Running.
Post-race activities include awards, an Irish band, and the event coincides with the local Cincy St. Patrick's Day Parade. Parking is available in the city garage underneath the venue or at the Public Landing nearby.
