Puzzled at Parklands: Quest 4 the Flag
Puzzled at Parklands: Quest 4 the Flag is a team-based outdoor adventure taking place in Jasper, Indiana on October 3, 2026, at the Parklands (800 W 15th St). The event uses four-person teams that navigate a roughly 1.5 mile course with nine challenge locations spread throughout the Parklands.
At each stop teams complete puzzles, activities, or tasks to earn flags. Many challenges require teams to split into pairs, then regroup, so team members rotate between paired and full-team tasks. The overall objective is to collect the most flags in the least total time.
The event is offered in two age-based divisions. The Elite Division is for teams with three or more members aged 16 or older. The Family Division requires two team members younger than 16 and two aged 16 or older. Organizers recommend a minimum starting age of 7 and suggest younger participants work with older team members on complex challenges.
Registration fees change by date: $60 per team through September 27 and $80 per team beginning September 28. Registration closes at midnight on October 1. Participation is limited to 24 teams, with roughly 12 teams in each division. Volunteers are sought to staff challenge locations and assist on course. Ninety percent of event proceeds benefit the Tri-County YMCA and ten percent support the DC Multisport Endowment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
