Purple for Purpose 5K
The Purple for Purpose 5K is a community running and walking event organized by Alpha Chi Omega on the campus of UT Arlington. This event serves as a benefit for survivors of domestic violence through the organization The Archway. The course is situated in Arlington, Texas, with the starting and finishing lines located on Greek Row Drive.
Participants can choose from multiple event distances:
- 5K race
- 1 mile family fun walk and run
Restricted to participants of various ages, both the 5K and the 1 mile options are available to adults and youth. The 5K distance is an officially timed competition using chip timing technology provided by a professional timing company. Participants are able to access their race results in real time by scanning a QR code located on their individual bibs. Bib pick-up for all participants is available on-site at the Greek Row Drive location on the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
