Puppy Love 5K Run/Walk
Puppy Love 5K Run/Walk is a community 5-kilometre event held at Palmetto Islands County Park in Mount Pleasant, SC. The event offers a run or walk that allows participants to bring well socialized dogs on leash. Free park entry and parking are included with race entry.

- 5K run or walk with dogs allowed
- Kids 5K for participants 10 and under, must be accompanied by an adult
Rules and entry details note that dogs must remain on leash, owners running with dogs should carry cleanup bags, and the limit is one dog per handler. The minimum age to run with a dog is 12 years. A paid entrant with one dog is listed at $45. Children 10 and under may enter at no cost but do not receive event swag and are not officially timed.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers running with a dog, plus additional category prizes such as Best Sweetheart Squad, Best Heart Melter, Best Butt Wiggle, Grand Master Award, and Novice Award. Prizes are sponsored by Dolittle’s Pet Shop. After the main event there is an owner and dog 100 yard Dash Race with a prize for the fastest dog.
All paid participants receive a race t-shirt and a matching bandana for their dog. Hot chocolate and treats for humans and dogs will be available after the event. The event supports Lucy Beckham Meowdog Rescue and the Charleston Animal Society. Packet pickup is available at Blue Sky Endurance the day before the race and at Palmetto Islands County Park on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
