Event overview
The Puppy Love 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Mount Pleasant, SC. The event offers a main 5K and a kids 5K for ages 10 and under. The event supports the Lucy Beckham Meowdog Rescue and the Charleston Animal Society. All participants receive a race t-shirt and a matching bandana for their dog, except children registered in the free 10 & under category do not receive a t-shirt or official timing.

Location, entry and rules
The event takes place at Palmetto Islands County Park, 444 Needlerush Parkway, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. Main event registration is listed at $40; price increases after December 31, 2025. A runner with one dog is listed as $45. The kids 10 & under category is free but requires adult accompaniment and is not officially timed. Dogs must be well socialized and kept on a leash at all times; one dog per handler. Minimum age to run with a dog is 12 years old. Packet pickup is available at Blue Sky Endurance, 624 Coleman Blvd, on the Friday before the race and at Palmetto Islands County Park on race day morning. Post-race activities include a 100-yard owner/dog dash and refreshments for humans and dogs. Awards include top finishers with dogs and several themed and novelty prizes.
