Pupkin 5pice 5k takes place on October 31, 2026 at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park, 745 Cochran Hill Road, Louisville, KY. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series.

Race entry includes a gender specific short sleeve Pupkin Spice tech shirt, a finisher medal, and a finisher certificate showing time and place. A free pet bandana is provided while supplies last. The event features a pet parade and a costume contest with multiple award categories. Participants who raise at least $150 for the charity partner Friends of Metro Animal Services Louisville have their entry fee refunded.
Awards are given to the top three male and female overall, first male and female master and grandmaster, and the top three in each age group from 9 and under through 80 and over. A family of four registration option provides a $10 saving off the standard fee when entered together.
Organizers note past safety concerns when vehicles left the Scenic Loop during the event; alternate parking is available south of Hogan's Fountain or in the nearby lot with a short walk on park trails.
