Pupkin 5pice 5k takes place on October 31, 2026 at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park, located at 745 Cochran Hill Road, Louisville KY. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series.
Race formats include an in-person 5k and virtual 5k options, with a virtual option that can include packet mailing. Virtual participants submit their results during designated windows and may pick up race packets rather than receive them by mail unless they choose the packet mailing option.
Race entry includes a gender specific short sleeve Pupkin Spice tech shirt, a finisher medal, and a finisher certificate showing time and place. Pet items and activities are part of the event: a free bandana for pets while supplies last, a pet parade, a costume contest, and dog treats at the finish line. If a participant raises at least $150 for the charity partner Friends of Metro Animal Services Louisville, their entry fee is eligible to be refunded.
