Punk Rock Run for Mental Health
The Punk Rock Run for Mental Health is a community road race at Heritage Park in Mount Sinai, New York. The event offers multiple distances and a kid's fun run, with in-park starts and a common finish line.
Course notes describe:
- 5K run/walk inside Heritage Park, run clockwise.
- 10K run/walk starting at Heritage Park, using the North Shore Rail Trail for about half the distance, then returning to finish in the park.
- Half Marathon beginning at Heritage Park, using the North Shore Rail Trail for most of the route, crossing 25A with support from Suffolk County Police and crossing guards, then finishing with laps inside the park.
Amenities and services include live online, text and email results, free finish line photos, free video and same-day finish line pictures, and personalized bibs for those registered at least three weeks in advance. In-person bib pickup is available on race day from event staff; virtual bibs are mailed the Monday prior with typical delivery times of 3 to 5 days. Last-minute registrants receive bib numbers by text.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female in the 5K, 10K and half marathon. Fundraising recognition includes a VIP breakfast for the top five fundraising teams and lead placement for the top fundraising team.
